Last updated on APRIL 27, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Objectel - Version 2.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On 2.10.2 in Production:When attempting to Change Project status ,the following error occurs:

Change Project status - throwing error - Invalid Project context

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1)Open the objectel Metadata editor with the given emd file, export the
database scripts and server cache scripts.
2)Create the user on the database and run all the necessary scripts as per
the Setup guide.
3)Start the BEA Weblogic domain and Objectel Server 2.10.2
4)Start the client and connect to the Objectel Server.
5)Create a project "TEST" by giving all mandatory fields and open file>open>project, which opens a "open project" window.
6)Select the project and click on "change status",only one option "pending in cancel" is enable where as "cancelled" and "implementation completed" are disabled. The same is available when you go into the project and go to file>"changeprojectstatus" option.
7)From "Open Project" window, if user selects the project and click on "change status" button and select the only one available option "Pendingincancel" then "Application Error: Invalid Project Context"
error is being thrown which is not valid error or message, in fact the project needs to change the status. The same is not observed when user opens the project and change the status from file>change project status option.
8)The same can be reproduced with the Sample data. Note here the project statuses differs as per the Sample Objectel Metada statuses(objectel has default 8 different statuses). The same Application error is being thrown and some statuses are disabled.
