Can Customer Data EDR Block Be Enriched By One Pipeline And Used By Other Pipelines (Doc ID 1051553.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 19, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.3.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The user is implementing pipeline for a new carrier and working on optimizing pipelines. In the current setup, the user has three pipelines for processing sms and other data usage. All three pipelines require account data and uses FCT_Account to enrich account data as part of individual pipelines. After doing some initial performance analysis using instrumentation results, the user thought it would be better to create separate pipeline to enrich customer data block, and then pass on that additional customer block to other pipelines.

Is this a recommended approach?

The user is planning to create one pipeline for FCT_Account and other account related validation. This new pipeline will create a sol42 format output file along with customer data blocks. The rating and SMS pipeline input processor will use this customer data block and create Cust A and Cust B blocks which can then be used by other Functional modules(e.g. FCT_InfranetBilling) in the pipeline. Please let us know if you see an issue with the above approach. As far as the user knows there is no requirement to have any plugins before FCT_Account.
