Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.3.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
The Rated Event Loader (REL) is a critical component of the BRM architecture, which requires a high processing throughput in order to make the overall system respond properly to external events.
Understanding what controls the throughput of REL is not easy, due to the complexity of the processes involved, and a brief guideline to the analysis of its performance is provided below.
A simple shell script is also provided, to parse the rel.pinlog in order to extract the relative time spent in each REL loading phase, even when two or more files are loaded concurrently.
