On 7.3 in Test:
Applied the patch (8730324) on top of Demantra 7.3 and am testing the scenarios of Dynamic Chaining.
After this patch is applied, the process works fine first time when we create a new product. It fails next time onwards when it tries to copy the history of existing product to the new product (NPI ongoing copy). It fails in the EBS Full download workflow with the following error:
ORA-20000: OnGoing Copy terminated! LastOnGoingDate is not set and the format expected is mm-dd-yyyy.
The value of LastOngoingDate is null in the SYS_PARAMS table. If we update this field manually, it works fine only once and again fails in the same step. Actually, the process is always updating this parameter with NULL.
Found that the internal procedure ONGOING_COPY is using the variable NOW to update the parameter LastOngoingDate. The variable NOW is never populated in this procedure.
STEP TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new product using NPI Dynamic Chaining with data copy as yes with launch date as Future date
2. Load the data of the existing product (source product) for next period so that ongoing data is also get copied to the new product
3. The EBS full download fails with the message
ORA-20000: OnGoing Copy terminated! LastOnGoingDate is not set and the format expected is mm-dd-yyyy
It is not allowing us to use Dynamic Chaining at all.
