Problem With Customer Center Search Functionality

When searching with First Name in the customer center, it is giving the error "No search criterion Specified". This problem is coming in a default BRM customer Center. After reformatting the system, it is working fine in Windows XP Enterprises license. It seems to have occurred with Windows XP OEM license systems.
Does it have any dependency with Windows XP OEM license?
