Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM Framework - Version to [Release 9.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

A SDK application fails to create a session when authenticating through LDAP connecting to Weblogic application server (WLS)

Error: " Root Cause exception : java.lang.SecurityException: User: b76731c6d95b0872:48ebcfcc:126a09bd660:-8000::c_utest, failed to be authenticated."

The same user can login to the WebClient.

User authenticated against the Agile PLM database can create session using SDK without errors.

Sample test code:

public static final String URL = "";
private static IAgileSession connect() throws APIException {
IAgileSession myServer = null;
AgileSessionFactory instance = AgileSessionFactory.getInstance(URL);
params = new HashMap();
params.put(AgileSessionFactory.USERNAME, USERNAME);
params.put(AgileSessionFactory.PASSWORD, PASSWORD);
myServer = instance.createSession(params);
System.out.println("Connected to server");
return myServer;
