Errors connecting PPM v8.0 Bridge to P6

Bridge between Primavera Portfolio Management 8.0 and P6 Web Services 7.0 is unsuccessful.
When configuring the Bridge with P6, any one of the following errors occur on the Bridge Server Settings screen:
- "Primavera P6 Server 'http://localhost:8080/p6ws/services' could not be accessed with username 'admin'. Please verify the username and password configured are correct"
- "The Project Management Server could not be accessed! Make sure that the user name and Password permitting access to the server were entered correctly"
After receiving either of the above errors, any one of the following error messages is found in the P6 Web Services log file:
- "Request Does Not Contain Required Security Header"
- "Primavera P6 server 'http://:9080/p6ws/services' could not be accessed. Please check if the URL, Login, password configured are correct."
