R12: HH:MI:SS Portion of Date Attributes Should Default to 00:00:00 (Doc ID 1080909.1)

Last updated on MARCH 18, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Performance Foundation - Version 12.0.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On EPF 12.0.4 or 12.1.2, when creating a new Calendar Period dimension member using the Dimension Hierarchy Manager (DHM) User Interface  (UI) "Create" button, the Calendar tool automatically populates time stamps with the current time instead of 00:00.

This issue was already fixed in 11i as per Internal Bug: 4547847 fem.d - hh:mi:ss portion of date attributes should default to 00:00:00.

The above causes issues when doing an data loads using that calendar period.

Expect the time stamp to default to 00:00:00.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enterprise Performance Foundation (EPF) Administrator -> Dimension -> Calendar Period -> Members
2. Create
3. Do not copy attributes
4. Choose a date for Calendar Period Start Date and Calendar Period End Date using the Calendar tool
