Why Does Allocations Seem to Ignore Size Profile When Only One Child Item is Being Allocated? (Doc ID 1085072.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 15, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Allocation - Version 13.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When creating an allocation at the style/color level using a plan rule or history rule, the system will allocate the total quantity for the style/color (item parent) to only one of the SKU (transactional item) related to the item parent if there is only available inventory of one of the SKU.

The system is allocating the total quantity planned regardless of the size profile defined. Why is it working this way?
