How Can Timezone Be Referenced in XAI Inbound Service (Doc ID 1091216.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version: 2.1.0 and later   [Release: 2.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When trying to add an interval value data into the system via XAI using the Interval Value Page service, it was observed that even if the XAI service schemas with datetime fields use the W3C XML schema xsd:dateTime data type, the timezones can not be specified.

Thus we can only submit in local legal time and not in UTC time if we want to.

Also, if local legal time must be used, then how can you specify the second 1 AM that occurs at the end of daylight savings time?

There is an extra hour on the last day of daylight savings time. There are 25 hours in that date.

How do you specify the date-time for that extra hour?
