Symptoms

Currently, Retail Warehouse Management System (RWMS) Re-order Point (ROP) logic takes into account the distributed quantity against the Forward Picking location to determine whether the replenishment picks should be created for a location, even when the inventory in the location is above the replenishment quantity.

This happens when the distributed quantity against the location is greater than the owned quantity of the location (unit quantity + inbound unit quantity).  However, in some scenarios, this results in generation of replenishment picks as low as one case every time a case is picked from the picking location.  Therefore, it is desirable to have an option to turn this functionality off.  So, it was decided that there should be a new System Control Parameter (SCP):

ROP_USE_DISTR_QTY

When this is set to 'Yes' we will use the Distributed Qty in the calculation to trigger Replenishment.
When this is set to 'No' we will only create a Replen when the Owned Qty (Unit Qty + Inbound QTY) is less than the Replenishment Quantity.
