Oracle Legal Whitehill Enterprise - Version: 5.6.2 to 5.8.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Whitehill Enterprise versions 5.6.1 and up are capable of profiling documents to Interwoven workspaces.  The need can arise however to disallow Whitehill from creating Workspaces or Folders.  Often customers just want Whitehill to place documents into already existing Workspace and Folder and now Whitehill can be configured to work this way.

Additionally, we have created a grave system so that when a Workspace does not exist (and cannot be created), the document can be placed into an Interwoven Whitehill Grave Workspace.  You can then use this Workspace to see which documents have failed to profile properly.

Finally, when Whitehill is disallowed from creating Workspaces, placing security settings on the document can become an issue.  When Whitehill creates a Workspace, security settings are consistently applied to the Workspace and document, but when documents are placed into existing Workspaces, Whitehill has no knowledge of the pre-existing workspace security settings and they are not inherited.  So it is important to turn on inherited security when this profiling model is used.
