Goal

‘NOTE: 873743.1 – Configuring Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture Onsite 4.6 for Performance and Scalability’ provides details on how to set up RDC 4.6 Onsite to use multiple JVMs . The multiple JVMs approach is a scalability solution which allows more users to use RDC Onsite from a single web server and is limited by the available hardware resources on the middle tier , database tiers.

This note will provide more detail on the parameters involved , memory that gets used , default values if none are specified in dcapi.properties and will aim to provide a better overall understanding of this feature.
