Missing Parent Store Causes Unwanted Config Removal After Proxy Server Restart

(Doc ID 1118738.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version: 5.2.4 and later   [Release: 5.2 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When the IPSA system is restarted, a first config push to a device sometimes results in unwanted config removal. The problem does not always occur on every device but as a workaround the customer has to re-manage all managed devices to avoid this problem occurring. Fortunately the network threshold protection avoids real config removal.

This problem affects the proxy server and device driver. It does not affect the network processor

Recent upgrade of production IPSA system to 5.2.4, using greenfield installation and upgrading current DB.
