(Doc ID 1119363.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Utilities Framework - Version 2.1.0 to 2.2.0.0.0 [Release 2.1 to 2.2]Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management - Version 2.1.5.1 and later
Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version 2.1.0 to 2.2.0.0.0 [Release 2.1 to 2.2]
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)
Goal
Need clarification on following in the "Production Environment Configuration Guidelines - Oracle Utilities Application Framework" <Document 1068958.1>
1) It is needed to check that LDR_CTRL is set to OXB0000000 this allows allocation of larger heap. At OS level the Memory parameter is LDR_CNTRL. The environment variable appears to be LDR_CNTRL, not LDR_CTRL.
2) The Operating System Recommendations section on page 4 says to set the MAXDIZ kernel paremeter to 2G on HP-UX. There isn't a MAXDIZ kernel parameter in HP-UX. There are two parameters with names like MAXDIZ: MAXDSIZ (Maximum size of the data segment of a 32-bit process) and MAXDSIZ_64BIT (Maximum size of the data segment of a 64-bit process). To which is the document referring?
3) The JVM Heap Settings on page 6 says to set the Heap Size to 2GB for 64-bit platforms. I just want to confirm this is says to set both -Xms and -Xmx to 2g (e.g. "-Xms2g -Xmx2g) in the MEM_ARGS variable in the $SPLEBASE/splapp/startWebLogic.sh script.
