Demantra Insall Hung During Import Of Demantra Schema STDERR> With the Partitioning and STDERR> IMP-00002: failed to open (Doc ID 1121923.1)

On the current windows machine customer already has a demantra installation that is connecting to a database. He is now trying to install a new Demantra instance which will connect to another database

His installer is hanging at the step of Importing Data and not moving forward

If they choose Full Install - Import goes through.

This is what he is choosing for the install:

1) Component Based Licensing - When following components are licensed import hangs -

a.Collaborator Workbench
b. Real Time Sales & Operations Planning. Uncheck Demantra Anywhere
c. Demand Management
d. Demantra Foundation Documentation
e. Advanced Forecasting and Demand Modeling
f. Web Server

The error in the logs are:

2010-05-18 11:09:46,714 [DEBUG] - STDERR> IMP-00002: failed to open D:\XXX7.3\Demand Planner\Database Objects\Oracle Server\dumps\rtsnop_demo_730.dmp for read

When we go to D:\DEMSND7.3\Demand Planner\Database Objects\Oracle Server\dumps\ see the following files:


The file rtsnop_demo_730.dmp does not exists

When we unzip the which brought in rtsnop_demo_730.dmp

After that I restarted the installer, choose replace schema and this time the installer goes through fine

But for it go through, user had to manually unzip the file and restart the installer which the installer did not do
