Issue Opening More Than One Connection Setting TransmitterProxyLocalAddressAndPort (Doc ID 1156807.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 24, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper - Version 4.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On OCSG 4.1.1 there is a problem with opening more than one connection setting on the plugin_sms_px21 plugin.
To be able to communicate with SMS-C we must use specific client IP and PORT forTransmitterProxyLocalAddressAndPort on each SMPP connection.
We notice that when we set, for example:

TransmitterProxyLocalAddressAndPort: <IP_ADDRESS>:<PORT_NUMBER>
BindType: 2
NumberTransmitterConnections: 4

OCSG opens just one SMPP connection using <IP_ADDRESS>:<PORT_NUMBER>. when trying to open the other 3 connections, the following exception is thrown:
Failed to create Socket: Address already in use

How to set different IP:PORT for each connection ?
