Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Note: All OFSA 4.5 products have reached sustaining support.

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Applications (OFSA) 4.5.39, you cannot add a new user defined leaf to the OFSA environment.  When you run the ADD_LEAF procedure, you receive the following error:

SQL>@run_add_leaf.sql
Leaf Colummn: PROD_COA_ID
Display Name : 'Prod COA ID'
Leaf Type: B
DBF Name: PRODCOA

View: TERM_PLCY_SECONDARY_PART_V
Exceeds limit of 256 explicit columns in SELECT list
Use * in the SELECT list to reduce number of explicit columns
in the view SELECT list

The error is repeated for the following additional views:

HOME_POLICIES_DETAIL_V
TERM_PLCY_PRIMARY_PART_V
WHOLE_UL_PLCY_PRIMARY_PART_V
WHOLE_UL_PLCY_SECONDARY_PART_V

The error causes the ADD_LEAF procedure to end without completing and the new user defined leaf is not added to OFSA_CATALOG_OF_LEAVES.
