Pcm_op_rerate_rebill Does Support Rerating With ‘Alternative’ Eras (Doc ID 1170983.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

The out-of-box OBRM opcode PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_RERATE_REBILL used for functionality ‘Best Pricing’ does not support recalculation of ‘alternative’ deal which requires ERA values different than customer actually has active / purchased.

o Deal_1 requires to have active ERA1 (because of using EVAL functionality in product catalogue configuration)
o Deal_2 requires to have active ERA2 (because of using EVAL functionality in product catalogue configuration)
o Customer has purchased Deal_1 with ERA1
o Customer would like know how much would s/he has paid if s/he had purchased Deal_2

-> In such case the opcode ‘PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_RERATE_REBILL’ does not have capability to recalculate under Deal-2 using ERA2 (required by Deal_2).

We consider the unavailability of using the ERA by ‘PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_RERATE_REBILL’ as system malfunction. It is because the product catalogue configuration of the system requires to have active specific ERA together with specific product catalogue entities configuration (PLAN, DEAL, PRODUCT, DISCOUNT).

Note: The EVAL functionality is in our solution used to grant customer-specific amount of percentage discount. Also ERA is used to identify whether customer is CUG (Closed User Group) or not.
