REL fails to load a few events when we try to load several files in parallel. In the problem scenario, multiple batch handlers are configured, to process events for telephony, SMS, GPRS, etc. When we simultaneously process few 100 rated files using batch controller, for REL to load them into database, then some of the events fail to load because of an error in the batch handler. It appears that, at times, the same out file (rated output file) is accessed by more than one batch handler.

Below is the snippet of error from rel.pinlog and batch_handler.log file respectively:

Note : The issue is more likely to happen randomly in a production like environment with bulk data.

a.  Stop batch controller
b.  Rate a lot of CDRs and generate out files , say 500+
c.  Start batch controller
d.  Check the batch handler log if you could see the expected error.

: Multiple batch handlers must be configured for different services, and bulk data should be processed for all the services, so that all batch handlers get launched in parallel.
