Purpose

This article is a general guide for getting the best results when running the ccsBeResync tool to synchronize out-of-sync wallet and/or voucher data, between a logicalOracle Communication Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) Billing and Rating Engine pair, usually referred to as a VWS (Voucher Wallet Server) pair.

The NCC Charging Control Services (CCS) software provides the ccsBeResync command line tool.  It's designed to query, analyse and synchronize the wallet and/or voucher data between an in-service logical VWS pair.

Scope

The scope of this article is to provide some general information around the best conditions to run the ccsBeResync tool in, to get the best results from its use.  It is not intended as a one size fits all article and it is up to the reader to determine what is relevant or useful to their situation.

It is not a comprehensive guide on how to run the ccsBeResync tool and should be read in conjunction with the ccsBeResync section of the NCC CCS Technical Guide, which provides the necessary information on running the ccsBeResync tool and its valid configuration options.  An understanding of the NCC Billing and Rating Engine solution will also aid in comprehending the following information.   Please refer to the relevant Technical Guides to broaden your understanding in these areas.
