Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle RAC), with an Oracle Database, enables a single database to run across a cluster of servers, providing unbeatable fault tolerance, performance, and scalability with no application changes necessary.

When an Oracle RAC is configured with a Primavera P6 EPPM Oracle database, the following instruction can be used for guidelines to configure each P6 module for connection to the Oracle RAC.

Scope

Before performing the sections of this entire document, the first section below, see Configuring the Oracle Database for Oracle RAC, must be performed so there is an available Oracle RAC to connect to.

Installation and configuration of the Oracle RAC must be performed by the System Administrator or Database Administrator of your environment.
