Information in this document applies to any platform.
On 12.1.1 Memory Based Planner:
Users defined transient safety stock (ie MRP Planned %/Safety Stock Bucket Days) for many items. If the items have lead times associated with them (ie Preprocessing, Processing, Post Processing), and the plan is run, users find that safety stock in the horizontal plan is 0 in the first plan bucket and continues to be 0 until it matches the total of Pre Processing and Post Processing lead times when added together. After this point the safety stock bucket values are calculated as expected. It almost seems like Pre-processing and Post processing lead times are creating a natural time fence for safety stock calculations
A secondary issue is discussed once the above is fixed with a profile option MSC_IGNORE_SS_IN_LEAD_TIME where setting the profile to No causes the plan failure with error Signal 11.
