Network Processor runs out of memory and becomes unresponsive due to alarm flooding (Doc ID 1196396.1)

Symptoms

The network processor starts showing out of memory faults and  finally shuts down. There are a very high number of "Configuration failed validation" faults being raised at the time.


The logs can be analyzing using commands similar to the following:
