Purpose

Can one modify the existing OOB indexes to improve BRM performance ?

Scope

In a customer setup, one has modified indexes as follows :

ITEM_T table:
add the column (EFFECTIVE_T) into the existing index I_ITEM_AR_BNFO_OBJ_ID_EFFEC.

EVENT_BAL_IMPACTS_T table:
add the columns (RESOURCE_ID, AMOUNT_DEFERRED) into the existing index I_EVENT_BI_ITEM_OBJ__ID.

During a performance test, the changes mentioned above significantly improved the performance of the billing process.

One may want to understand if such changes to indexes can be made in every BRM setup. Below feedback might serve as a reference in this context.
