Symptoms

The Unified Inventory Management (UIM) server crashes with "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" errors.
 
T4CPreparedStatements are creating a large number of char array objects which can be attributed to loading the DEFAULTLAYOUT, DEFAULTLISTLAYOUT, DEFAULTFORMALLAYOUT, DEFAULTSUMMARYLAYOUT columns of the SPECIFICATION table.
 
Reference the attached Eclipse Memory Analyzer and Object Histogram documents and for patterns.

Changes

The WebLogic "statement-cache-size" and "max-capacity" of the InventoryTxDataSource were significantly increased.
