Last updated on MARCH 14, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.3.0.0.0 to 7.3.0.0.1 [Release 7.3.0]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)

Symptoms

Dm_vertex for Commtax Q returns positive tax amount for negative charge.

Scenario:
1) Create a plan with product having deferred taxation and negative charges.
2) Create an account with valid zip, city, state. etc.
3) Generate a bill.
4) In dm_vertex log. search for ctq_process flist, we can see that the taxed amount is coming as negative which is incorrect.

Input FList:

In the output FLIST for Tax sub_type 6, the PIN_FLD_AMOUNT is a positive charge instead of a negative charge. Also PIN_FLD_AMOUNT_TAXED is a smaller negative value instead of having a higher negative value. For sub_type 99, the PIN_FLD_AMOUNT_TAXED is also a smaller negative value.

dm_vertex is returning inaccurate amount and AMOUNT_TAXED values when the GROSS_AMOUNT is negative.
