BRM DB Upgrade Fails When Applying Patch 7594320 To Upgrade BRM 7.3 To 7.4 (Doc ID 1217553.1)

Symptoms

  BRM 7.3 was installed in the solaris system. The overlay upgrade patch 7594320 for upgrading 7.3 to 7.4 was used. The mandatory Portal 7.3 patches 5835756 (04489), 5903622, and 6787882 were installed followed by overlay upgrade patch
7.4_7594320_Portal_Base_platform_32_opt,7.4_7594320_ThirdParty_Upgrade_platform_32_opt and .4_7594320_Timos_platform_64_opt, 7.4_7594320_Pipeline_PDK_platform_64_opt,7.4_7594320_Pipeline_platform_64_opt were successfully installed.
While performing the BRM Database Upgrade, it was not successful.

### Steps to Reproduce ###
BRM_HOME is set to /opt/portal/7.3
PIPELINE_HOME is set to /opt/ifw

The ReadMe doc along with the overlay upgrade patch 7594320 was followed.
Steps to Reproduce the problem:

1. Shutting down the current instance
Move to /opt/app/portal/7.3/bin and execute
stop_all
Kill process manually if they are not stopped.
2. Backing up files
Take a backup of the database and files.
3. Turning off BRM service authentication and authorization
4. Installing Portal 7.3 patches
Installed the mandatory patches 5835756 (04489), 5903622, and 6787882.
5. Setting the environment variables
Initialized the source.me script
6. Installing the overlay upgrade patch
7.4_7594320_Portal_Base_platform_32_opt
7.4_7594320_ThirdParty_Upgrade_platform_32_opt
7.4_7594320_Pipeline_platform_64_opt
7.4_7594320_Pipeline_PDK_platform_64_opt
7.4_7594320_Timos_platform_64_opt
These patches were installed successfully.
7. Upgrading the Portal database schema
a. Open BRM_home/setup/pin_setup.values
b. All the necessary values were set.
c. Database alias name, and other db details were set.
d. On running the following command,
perl pin_73patch_74_upgrade.pl
the cursor returned to the prompt and there was no indication of whether the DB upgrade is successful or failure.
8. Upgrading the Pipeline Manager database schema
a. This was successful and the logs and prompt messages confirms it.
9. Installing BRM 7.4 client applications
Downloaded the BRM 7.4 Client from e-delivery. Installed the customer center on a windows system. Set the infranet.Properties. When tried to login it errored out with Invalid Login message.
