How To Reset Sys, System, and P6 Schema Passwords In An Oracle XE Instance For P6 Standalone Installations (Doc ID 1228402.1)

Goal

The purpose of this document is to provide a utility that can be run to automatically reset all schema user passwords in an Oracle XE instance when the passwords have been forgotten or wish to be reset.

Passwords for the following Oracle XE schema users are defined during P6 v7 Standalone installation and will be reset by this utility:
  • System Schema Users:
    • SYS
    • SYSTEM
  • Project Management Schema Users:
    • ADMPRM$PM
    • PRIVPRM$PM
    • PUBPRM$PM
  • Methodology Management Schema Users:
  • ADMPRM$MM
  • PRIVPRM$MM
  • PUBPRM$MM
*If Methodology Management is not currently installed, you may receive errors resetting those users. This is OK and you may ignore those errors.*
