Goal

Oracle Communication Network Charging and Control (OCNCC) provides a Provisioning Interface (PI).  This interface understands three different modes of command syntax.  The first two modes are Standard (MML (Man-Machine Language)), and XML (Extensible Markup Language) which both support the ability to dynamically (that is, while the PI is running) turn debug on and off, for specific PI commands on specific PI ports.  The third mode is SOAP (originally defined as Simple Object Access Protocol that relies on XML for its message format) and does not currently support this functionality.  Turning SOAP debug on/off requires a restart of the PIprocess(es) and also has the disadvantage of affecting all PI commands on all PI ports.

The PI User and Technical Guide documentation, pre OCNCC 5.0.2, did not clearly state how to dynamically enable/disable debug.  Please refer to <note 1341844.1> to find out about downloading OCNCC documentation.

The following article provides the debug command syntax for all the different PI command types, including examples.
