[12295] Error Occurred: Invalid Identifier When Creating New User Defined Dimension Member (Doc ID 1244884.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), in Common Object Maintenance > Dimension Management, when you try to create a new member for a user defined dimension, the following error occurs after selecting Save:

[12295] Error occurred: invalid identifier

The revappserver.log in the <web server (ex. tomcat) >/webapps/<Context>/logs directory contains the following errors:

[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]Duplicate Code Check : select count(1) from DIM_TRANSACTION_B where TRANSACT_ID = ?
[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]SQL Exception occured while trying to check Code / Name duplicate.
[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "TRANSACT_ID": invalid identifier


and

[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]Query to insert into Member Base table : 1 : INSERT INTO DIM_TRANSACTION_B (TRANSACT_ID, TRANSACT_DISPLAY_CODE, enabled_flag, creation_date, created_by, last_modified_by, last_modified_date, leaf_only_flag, definition_language) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)
[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]SQL Exception occur to insert Member Details.
[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "TRANSACT_DISPLAY_CODE": invalid identifier


As a result, you cannot create new dimension members for this custom dimension.
