[12295] Error Occurred: Invalid Identifier When Creating New User Defined Dimension Member (Doc ID 1244884.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), in Master Maintenance > Dimension Management, when you try to create a new member for a user defined dimension, the following error occurs after selecting Save:

[12295] Error occurred: invalid identifier

The revappserver.log in the <web server (ex. tomcat) >/webapps/<Context>/logs directory contains the following errors:

[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]Duplicate Code Check : select count(1) from DIM_TRANSACTION_B where TRANSACT_ID = ?

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "TRANSACT_ID": invalid identifier


and

[REVELEUSLOG] Sep 28,10 17:02:40 : [MEMBERHANDLER]Query to insert into Member Base table : 1 : INSERT INTO DIM_TRANSACTION_B (TRANSACT_ID, TRANSACT_DISPLAY_CODE, enabled_flag, creation_date, created_by, last_modified_by, last_modified_date, leaf_only_flag, definition_language) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: "TRANSACT_DISPLAY_CODE": invalid identifier


As a result, you cannot create new dimension members for this custom dimension.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Financial Services Applications
  2. Go to Master Maintenance > Dimension Management > Members
  3. Select the user defined dimension from the Dimension drop down list
  4. Click on the Add button
  5. Enter all required information in the Member definition screen
  6. Click Save

The error occurs.
