In Oracle Utilities Meter Data Applications - LODESTAR EIP (Energy Information Platform) v1.6 an error occurs when users try to log into the application. This occurs when the application is hosted on a Windows 2008 server with IIS 7.
Behavior differs depending on the type of security enabled.
When LDAP security is used --
If the user was added as an EIP admin using -lssecureinit, the user can log in but receives an "500 - Internal Server Error" when clicking on the Security Admin link in EIP.
Otherwise, if the user was not added as admin using -lssecureinit the "Invalid Session" error is seen.
When standard EIP security is used --
The application appears to start processing but then hangs - if the user hits Escape to cancel the error "Invalid RSA public key" is seen.
