Goal

The following procedure would generally be needed during a software update when you do not have access to the Service Management System (SMS) screens and therefore no ability to generate a new replication config file - SMS -> Operator Functions -> Node Management -> Table Replication: [Create Config File].

This article explains the way to manually create a new SMS replication.config file and copy it to the remote replication nodes.

 1. Backup the current replication.config file
 2. Create a new replication configuration file
 3. Find all configured replication nodes
 4. Secure copy the new replication configuration file to all nodes
 5. Restart the smsMaster process on the SMS server
 6. Rollback to previous replication configuration file
 7. Force a full resync of the replication tables
