Messaging Server 6.2 - Unable To Start Stored; Process Exits Abnormally (Doc ID 1264759.1)

Symptoms

The stored process will not start:


The watcher log showed errors such as "process exited abnormally" and "stored failed twice in 600 seconds".

The default log showed stored starting up a couple of times, with the PID being incremented each time.

Changes

The /var partition filled up to capacity. The customer corrected the problem with /var and then stopped/started the messaging server, only to find out that the stored process would no longer start.
