Remotely Changing a "Dynamic Switch" Node Through the "ACS Management" Control Plan Fails Without Error or With "Unknown action code 0 invoked" Error (Doc ID 1268838.1)

Symptoms

Background

The ACS Management Control Plan is delivered with ACS (Advanced Control Services), and can be used to make changes to Service Numbers over the phone using IVR (Interactive Voice Response) prompts and text entry.
Actions include:
  • Changing the terminating number of an Unconditional Terminate or Terminate to Pending Node.
  • Altering the exit of a Dynamic Switch Node in another Control Plan.
A number of additional conditions must be met to use the "ACS Management" Control Plan successfully; see the ACS User Guide for more information.

Initial Symptom

The ACS Self-Care Control Plan does not change the Dynamic Switch node exit of a Control Plan, despite the EDR record indicating everything was successful.

Additional Symptom

The syslog (/var/adm/messages) may report the following error at the time of the failure:
