snmpGet Utility Does Not Find MIB Variable (Doc ID 1274057.1)

Goal

snmpGet utility does not find a MIB variable and giving errors like below:

$ bin/snmpGet 10.12.12.135 1.3.6.1.4.1.3512.1.101.1.2 -11084 -S
SNMP++ Get to 10.12.12.135 SNMPV1 Retries=1 Timeout=1000ms Community=public
SNMP++ Get Error, SNMP: Variable does not exist (2)

$ bin/snmpWalk 10.12.12.135 1.3.6.1.4.1.3512.1.101 -11084 -S
SNMP++ snmpWalk to 10.12.12.135 SNMPV1 Retries=1 Timeout=1000ms Community=public
End of SUBTREE Reached
Total # of Requests = 1
Total # of Objects = 0

$ bin/snmpGet 10.12.12.135 1.3.6.1.4.1.3512.1.101.1.2.1 -11084 -S
SNMP++ Get to 10.12.12.135 SNMPV1 Retries=1 Timeout=1000ms Community=public
SNMP++ Get Error, SNMP: Variable does not exist (2)


The snmp agent has been started as:

master_agent -l 11089 -x 11084


and the snmp port has been defined in the AAA-Gw registry with:

SnmpServer
{
       Port = 11084
       ProcessDescription = ifwMBI
}
