"No Credit" Announcement is not Played when Subscriber with Zero Balance Makes a Call (Doc ID 1276061.1)

Symptoms

When a subscriber tries to make a call but their account has zero credit remaining, then the Service should play the subscriber an announcement informing them of that their balance is zero and they need to "top up" or recharge their account.

This article explains the Network Charging and Control (NCC) configuration needed to enable this functionality to work.

Changes

Misconfiguration, or modification of the following items could cause or introduce such a problem:

  1. The following section in the Service Management System (SMS) eserv.config file:

  2. The "Play Announcement if Zero Balance" check-box configuration item from the SMS management screens:
    • Services => ChargingMax => Wallet Management => Balance Types

  3. The "Balance Status" feature node in a Control Plan.
