The conflict will result in various problems with Outlook, with error dialogs like:

Text: Sun Java Connector for Microsoft Outlook Error. One of the causes can be your network connection.
"Cannot open your default e-mail folders. Sun Java Connector for Microsoft Outlook Error. One of the causes can be your network connection."
This error may be more frequent on PST files that are 6GB or larger.
"Another Application Closed Unexpectedly While Using Your Personal Folders File" (in Microsoft Outlook 2003).
This problem is often associated with changes in the version of Windows:
- Upgrading to Windows Vista or Windows 7 from a version previous to Windows Vista.
- Installing Windows Desktop Search (WDS), the Windows Search version for Windows previous to Windows Vista.
- Upgrading from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 on a system that has Windows Search.
