Purpose

As a part of good platform maintenance the Solaris Operating System (OS) needs updating and patching to fix known issues that could possibly affect the system's security, integrity, performance or availability.  A valid concern is how will OS patching affect the Oracle Communication Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC for short) applications running on these platforms.

Scope

The scope of this article covers the compatibility of the NCC software and Solaris OS patch level.  It is intended for information purposes only and gives a general recommendation.  It will not cover installation procedures for NCC software and OS patches.  Please see the relevant README files in regards to installation steps.
