Mail sent to a dynamic group does not arrive and and the following error appears in the mail.log_current file:

15-Dec-2010 14:10:26.78 3bf.91.434 tcp_intranet QE 2 john.doe@foo.com rfc822;dynamic_grp_name@foo.com @msg-store.foo.com:dynamic_grp_name@foo.com <4D08BDD7.2010104@foo.com> mailsrv dns;[] (msg-store.foo.com -- Server ESMTP [Sun Java[tm] System Messaging Server 6.3-6.03 [built Mar 14 2008; 32bit]]) smtp;451 4.5.0 error opening file/URL referenced by alias: dynamic_grp_name@foo.com@msg-store.foo.com:dynamic_grp_name@foo.com: smtp;451

Sending mail like this used to be successful, but for some reason now, it is failing.

It was also noticed that an error was returned when issuing the following command:

#  imsimta test -rewrite -debug -from=john.doe@foo.com dynamic_grp_name@foo.com

(In this case the -from= was required because this particular dynamic group had a mgrpAllowedBroadcaster attribute, but the issue is not specific to that type of group).

In the imsimta test -rewrite -debug output, we found:

1:47:30.02: LDAP URL identified
11:47:30.02: URL context #4 will be used
11:47:30.02: Performing URL search on: ldap:///o=foo.com,dc=foo,dc=com?mail?sub?(&(objectClass=inetmailuser)(mail=*foo.com))
11:47:30.84: Search failed: Sizelimit exceeded (4)

The number of users defined in LDAP has grown gradually over time.
