Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) 7.1, you are trying to delete the t2t_Credit_Cards extract from Data Integrator > Source Designer > Define Extracts >FSAPP_T2T > FS_SOURCE.  This extract was included by mistake and can be deleted.  However, when you select the extract, you receive the following error:

[8633] Failed to fetch data from Server
[S][ETL.DEF.CLDNT_FETCH_DEF_FILE_SRVR_MAYNOT_RUNNING]

Note: In OFSAA 7.2, the following errors occur when trying to delete the same extract:

"Failed to fetch data from Server ETL.SRC_DEF.ERR_CON_SERVLT : Key not Found"

"fetch mapping details returned error"

As a result, you cannot delete t2t_Credit_Cards.  Nothing happens when you click the Delete button.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Go to Unified Metadata Manager > Technical Metadata Management > Data Integrator
  2. Go to Source Designer > Define Extracts
  3. Go to FSAPP_T2T > FS_SOURCE
  4. Double-click on t2t_Credit_Cards
The error message occurs.
