Database Connection Lost In Rating Pipeline (Doc ID 1291175.1)

Symptoms

The following errors are reported from the Pipeline Manager:

Also, these errors impact the business with wrong rating, because, when the DB connection was lost, a wrong product was picked up for the CDRs, which resulted in wrong charging. Only after restarting the Pipeline Manager rating is happening properly again.

The points which we want to raise here are:

  1. Explain possible reasons for these ORA-3135 and ORA-3114 errors.
  2. If there was a DB connection lost between the pipeline manager and the database, the pipeline was still running and it resulted wrong rating. The pipeline didn't give any core or it even didn't crash.Why this has happened?
