Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 7.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Outlook Connector will fail to make an successful address book connection.
End user experience
The Outlook Connector user will see an error: "unable to establish a session with Address Book Server". The same user, logged into Convergence, will access Address Books problem-free.
No error will be logged in the iwc.log.
An error will be logged in SJOC.log.
This problem affects only Convergence 1 patch-10. This was the patch level provided in Communcations Suite 7 (original). Customers could encounter this problem in several ways:
- Installing Communications Suite 7 (original).
- Upgrading Convergence 1 from a previous version to the version bundled in Communications Suite 7 (original), by using commpkg upgrade.
- Doing a patch upgrade from a previous version of Convergence 1 to Convergence 1 patch-10.
