"HotSpot Virtual Machine" Error Occurs During Batch Jobs (Doc ID 1298914.1)

Symptoms

When running batch jobs, occasionally the threadpoolworker will suddenly die. There is no information captured in the threadpoolworker, submitjob or batch logs, however, a java core dump file does show the following error:
