Errors Connecting PPM Bridge to P6 Version 8 - 'Primavera P6 server can not be accessed...'

PPM 8.0 SP2 Bridge to P6
P6 version 8.0
- The PPM 8.0 SP2 Bridge Console does not indicate a successful connection to P6. Rather than green checkmarks (indicating a successful connection), the message 'The project management server could not be found' is displayed. Upon opening the 'ProjectBridge_[date].log', the following error is displayed:
- Error: '<entry><time>01:37:57 PM</time><event>Test</event><serverID>3</serverID><serverName>[server name]</serverName><objectName></objectName><status>Errors Found</status><user>[user name]</user><error>2147614729</error><description>Primavera P6 Server 'http://localhost:7003/p6ws/services' could not be accessed. Please check if the URL, login and password configured are correct</description></entry>
- Error #999 appears in the Bridge Console (Status) and/or the Project Server Log (see screen-shots below)
