Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) 7.2

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) or Asset Liability Management (ALM) 5.2, some of the screens do not display Unicode characters like Chinese or Arabic characters correctly.  For example, the Transfer Pricing Rule Definition screen where the TP Method is selected does not display Chinese characters correctly.  The product names in the "Selected Products" drop down list contain bad values instead of Chinese characters.  Some screens do display the Unicode characters but many other do not.

Steps to Reproduce (in FTP):
  1. Go to Funds Transfer Pricing
  2. Go to Assumption Specification > Transfer Pricing Rules
  3. Edit a Transfer Pricing Rule
  4. Check a box next to a product in the hierarchy (Chinese characters displayed correctly)
  5. Click on the TP Method Selector button
In the screen that opens, the Product name in the "Selected Products" drop down list contains bad characters.
