Outlook Connector Display of Calendar Permissions Not Consistent with Communications Express (UWC) and Convergence (Doc ID 1302618.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Given a calendar "cal1" that has permissions granted to "all users" for "availability" and "invite".

In Outlook Connector, login as the owner of "cal1", and grant permission to a specific user "test5" for "availability" only (not "invite").

The resulting access control entries (ACEs):

# ./cscal -v list <USER>@<DOMAIN>.com:cal1
...
aces=@@o^a^rsf^g;@@o^p^rw^g;@@o^c^wdeic^g;test5@<DOMAIN>.com^a^f^g;test5@<DOMAIN>.com^c^^g;test5@<DOMAIN>.com^p^r^g;@^a^sf^g;@^c^^g;@^p^r^g
...

The display in Outlook Connector is inconsistent with Communications Express (UWC) and Convergence:

- opening the calendar permissions in Outlook Connector again, it displays "availability" and "invite" access for user "test5".

- Communications Express and Convergence display the calendar permissions as "availability" only (no "invite") for user "test5".
