Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (OFSPM) 5.2, you cannot see an Expression in the Allocation definition "Source" screen.  The Expression drop down list is empty.  The Expression contains two different tables in its formula.

For example, the Expression contains the following to calculate a rate:

Rate Lookup Table.EXCHANGE_RATE
Transaction Summary.Previous Day Rate

In the example, the Allocation's Source selects the Transaction Summary table.  You expect to see the Expression created earlier in the Allocation's Source screen.

Steps to Replicate:

  1. Go to Master Maintenance > Expressions
  2. Create a new Expression
  3. In the Expression, select a column from two different Entities. One Entity should be the table used in the Allocation.
  4. Save
  5. Go to Profitability Management > Rule Specification > Allocation Specification
  6. Create a new Allocation
  7. Go to the Source screen and select a table used in the Expression.

In this screen, the Expression drop down list does not contain the Expression created earlier.
