Variable Doesn't Collect And Display Names Properly Using {Section 2}, {Section 1} Formatting (Doc ID 1306296.1)

Last updated on APRIL 07, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Legal Whitehill Enterprise - Version: 5.9.0 and later   [Release: and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Users upgrading to Whitehill Enterprise version 5.9.0 will note that variables previously of the format "{Last Name}, {First Name}" have been converted to "{Section 2}, {Section 1}" which leads to problems when a name is composed of more than three strings of characters.

As an example, a name with a middle initial such as "Homer J. Simpson", would drop the last name and be rendered as "J., Homer" (under the old format it would have been "Simpson, Homer J.").  This is a change in functionality that negatively impacts any templates relying on the previous usage.
