Convergence Login - Mail Tab Fails to Appear, Displays Error "The mail service is not available. Please try again later." (Doc ID 1306472.1)

After successful login to Convergence 2, the user sees the login "thermometer" advance until full. However, the mail tab does not appear (usually calendar, if enabled, will be displayed instead).

An alert appears: "The mail service is not available. Please try again later."

Firebug in Firefox will show a WMAP request which is returned with an error
